Did you switch the system off before changing cylinders? Possible that it’s detected a sudden drop in pressure and activated the cut-off solenoid. Do you not have instructions on how to reset it?

Okay, sad sack that I am being laid up with a crook knee and not a lot to do, Googlefoo reveals that it’s a Multimatik CPU (Crash Protection Unit). Only instructions I can find are in German but the relevant section reads:

Reset and decommissioning of the system
To reset the system, press the switch on the control and display unit that closes the solenoid valve. The LED display goes out. After a period of approx. 45 seconds, the system can be put into operation again by pressing the switch again. When shutting down the system, close the cylinder valves. If the system is not to be used for a long period of time, the battery must be disconnected - see the vehicle operating instructions.

If that doesn’t work maybe unplug the power from the control unit for a few minutes, plug back in and try the reset again if necessary?
