Hi All

Our thoughts are turning to replacing our Concorde Compact which is great ,has loads of headroom , but no fixed bed....

But I am 1.94 m tall , and the bathroom looks like limited headroom in these Hymers.

Is anyone who has one of these Hymers able to comment on the headroom?

Thanks !

Daniel

In our Hymercar Ayers Rock we find the headroom when standing up to be OK and in the dynette and bathroom there is extra height provided by the roof vents / skylight (when closed and of course we do not have a pop top).

You need to research definitely at about 6 foot 5 inch, I'm 6 foot 3 and have to do the same.

Look at some of the vans with extra high roofs
La Strada and Globecar do them
Bed length could be more of an issue

I'd agree about the bed length, at 6ft my feet do touch the wall at the end, not flat to the wall but bearing in mind most people slip down the pillow a little then it may not be long enough.

Thanks all.
I’m ok with bed , I tend to sleep across and my wife is short.....

We need a four berth , hence looking at Hymers with pop tops etc.

I like the idea of extra high roofs but I am also limited as to length of my driveway 6 m is pushing it ...
Daniel.

Hi
We purchased a Hymer Grand Canyon S last month, it has the optional poptop so no roof vents.
I'm 6ft tall and have experienced no problems with roof heights. The bathroom although small works for us although we've yet to use the shower .
Headroom is ok, with the duckboard in place I can just about stand upright, however when using the bathroom I'm either sitting down or leaning over the sink.
I believe the Free model with the fwd Mercedes drivetrain gives additional standing heights, the rwd of the 'S' model effect floor height.
I must say after previously owning a VW California I'm loving the space.
