"More recently, one of the keys to keeping pace with an ever more athletic generation has been investing about £200,000 in a bespoke RV (motorhome) that follows Rose on his tournament schedule. There is a red-light therapy bed and a spin bike in what was once the living room, while the bedroom has been converted into a wet room with a steam shower, infrared sauna, and hot and cold plunge pools. He uses the facilities for about an hour after every round.
When there isn’t space to park the RV on site, Rose often resorts to renting a nearby back garden. “How are you going to try to beat Scottie Scheffler and all these young lads if you’re not feeling your best?” he says. “I’ve always been quite aggressive in the sense of investing in myself.”
