Hartal Magnetic Door Retainer Removal?

Morning all, I am trying to remove the plastic cover on a magnetic retainer, I've used a flat blade screwdriver in the small holes but there is obviously a knackered to it, thought I'd ask on here before I break it Cheers

I think the slots on the side give access to a clip on each side that clicks into a slot on the backplate.

A gentle straight push in with your small flat screwdriver should push the clips back inwards and allow the faceplate to pull up off.

Thanks for the info , the photos do show the clips but when I push a screwdriver in , nothing budges

Does the screwdriver "stop" as if it's meeting resistance against the clip but just doesn't move it? If so, have you tried it at a downward angle rather than flat?

Has the cover been off before and the clip/s broken with it being adhered back on?

All sorted now, I wasn't pushing hard enough into the slot
