Habitation Door internal handle

The inside catch on the habitation door mechanism of our 481 seems to have broken. We can still open the door from the outside but NOT from the inside. Anyone had the same experience? Looks a bit daunting to take whole panel off to get to mechanism. Guess some linkage has broken.
Bit naff as we are just one week into a five trip to France.

Don't know what type of hab door you have on your Benimar but if it's a Hartel one same as on our AT posts 4 and 6 in this thread may give you some insights into how to remove the internal panel.

Door catch not returning

Hi All 2019 Adria I think its a Hartel door- the bottom catch feels like a spring is gone in it as it is not returning all the time and jams the door. Any advice on a fix appreciated. Thanks
