Hi all.
I have a Bailey Approach 745se 2013 and am having an issue with the 12v power in the habitation area.
I don’t have any!!🤔🤔
I have checked the fuse, that’s ok.
I have managed to work out where the power comes out from the fuse board, and confirmed that’s ok as well!!
I’m now at a loss!!
The only other thing I can think of is there’s possibly an in-line fuse somewhere??
I’m hoping that someone may have a suggestion or two, or even come across this one this type of MH before??
Any help would be really appreciated, and help my sanity!!
Thanks
Simon

Have you checked if there is a heavy duty in-line fuse close to the leisure battery positive terminal ?
Hi. Thanks for your reply.
I have checked all the fuses around the leisure battery and everywhere else around that area as well.
All ok.

There may also be a fuse in the EHU outside connection point box that could have blown . If your van does not have this fuse fitted or it is there, but ok ,the problem may be with the habitation relay that shuts off 12v power when the engine is started

We have the 745 also. Had to replace the BCA charger unit last year when all else failed. Have since replaced this with the lithium version from Apuljack but still have the newish one if all else fails from your investigations.

The fuse at the EHU is ok.
I think the relay is ok as well, I’ve just replace the fuse board, plus there is power coming out of the fuse board. For some reason, although it’s coming out the board into the wiring, it’s not getting to the 2 sockets.

Out of interest, what was the problem you were having?

No 12v output. I’m no electrical expert but with a meter was able to work out that no output coming from the BCA. Now that probably could have been various things which might have been solvable within the charger, but we were en route to Devon so took a punt and bought a replacement on the way down. Bingo back to normal again.

Ah, right. I was having 12v issues and discovered that the fuse board had “blown”. I bought a new board which sorted the problem. However, this new issue has come up!
This time I know there is 12v power coming out of the unit, but not reaching the socket!! Frustrating isn’t the word!!

Is any other 12V power not working - lights, water pump etc, or is it just the socket? Is it a cigarette-lighter-type socket?

Everything else is working fine, pump, lights etc, it’s just the sockets. Yes, it’s a cigarette lighter type.

No. Bother the sockets are original fittings, and neither of them are working! I did wonder if there’s a hidden inline fuse, but I haven’t been able to find one!!

Maybe a bad earth /negative connection ? If you have a multimeter , put one probe on the positive ( centre connection ) and the other if it will reach to the main earth on the 12v fuse panel , do you get a voltage showing? If you do you need to check the earth ( negative) to the sockets .

Let’s us know how you get on , always good to hear if something gets resolved

Still no joy!! Have tried what you suggested and definitely no power at the plugs. As I know there is power coming from the pcu, I can only assume there is either a break in the wire somewhere or there is an inline fuse somewhere??
I’m currently away in France, it’s not spoiling anything, so will do more research when I’m home.
However that’s now towards the bottom of the list now as it looks like the battery charger has given up the ghost when on EHU.
Think I might look at just replacing the whole PCU and be done with it!!
Costs permitting!!🤔🤔🤣🤣
