Decided to make up gutters over the side hatches to reduce dampness getting past locker door seals. Got some plastic U extrusion from B&Q, made up a wooden jig and heated the extrusion over a kettle. Found it collapsed inwards so added two small pieces of wood to keep the shape. Worked surprisingly well, the jig means they are all the same curve. Made the strips long enough so water could run off clear of the door seals. Glued on with white Puraflex 40. Won't do much when driving or in driving rain but should help stop the water running down the side of the van causing problems. May even work as vortex generators to reduce drag.

Now trying to repair broken cowl on hatch door and that broken latch visible.

IMO it would have been better to cure the problem by fitting new door seals as there shouldn't be any water getting past the door seals.

True, getting seals for a twenty year old van not that easy. The problem is always along the lower edge with the woodwork damp after rain. If this cures it then I am happy. If does not then they can either stay on or be removed, no holes drilled. And I got bored with the lockdown.
