The first pic is on the dashboard and the second pic is a little 2 prong thing that I found in glovebox.The prongs seem to match up with the holes on dashboard, is this part of alarm/ immobiliser?
 
If it was me and everything is working just as it should be id put the little prongy thing back in the glove box and leave well alone

Yes it is part of the alarm - does the led flash? Dont know full details of the flash code.
Sometimes if I use the alarm and dont start the van within a certain amount of time, the LED will flash and the engine is immobilised. You can either inert the two prongy thingy or set and unset the alarm again.

Here are the Gemini instructions for our Gemini which uses the same little key and socket on the dash. The flashing leds are explained on here.
Hope this is of some help. See pages 5 for the leds and page 7 which shows the electronic key and the receptacle.
 

Attachments

If you set the alarm while in the motorhome then immediately insert the prong tool in the socket it disables the internal sensors.
