Hi again. We are trying to get the gas on our rapido and have turned the bottles on and the gas switches to the oven heater and grill but no gas. I assume there is another gas switch between the bottles and the control panels. Can any shed any light on this problem.
Thanks Tony

Hi Tony,

There are normally 3 switches:
1. Bottle on/off
2. Appliance manifold
3. Crash protection solenoid

Number 3 on my Rapido is the bottom switch under the heating controls (toggle off/on) by the sink. Green LED is good (red....not so much!)

Regards

Jim

Hi bobjane y jim,
Ive taken potos but cant attach from my pone so will try later this evening on my laptop. Yes ive git a green button and it says press for 5 secs. Also where the truma heater controls are there is a small hole in a switch module which maybe is missings its internals. Anyway i will try to send photos later. Thanks Tony.

Have you turned the electric switch (green light)
Usually near heater control.
I’ve changed gas over twice, then had the light bulb moment;)

Hi, I managed to get some photos on so hopefully you can see the set up I have. I'm not sure what is the purpose of this switch or if the component is broken on picture 2 below, with 3rd switch from the left., maybe this is the
Crash protection solenoid or the ''Have you turned the electric switch (green light)'' which Mr. B refers to.
Brian, I'm not sure what regulator it is but think it is fitted for LPG.
Unfortunately the MH is stored at daughter in laws which is an hour away so we haven't really had time to explore things yet.
Thanks for bearing with me,
Tony
ps, I'm sure the hob worked when I bought the MH so a bit perplexed.
pps. According to the instructions the 4 gas control valves in the picture are in the off position but we tried them in both directions just in case.

First turn the 4 red knobs under the flap through 90 degrees, because at the moment they are all turned to off. Then turn the knob on the top of the gas bottle anti-clockwise to turn on the gas. Then push the green button on your regulator and hold it there while you count to 10 slowly. Release and you should have gas to all your appliances.

The 3rd "switch" is not a switch and is not broken. It is a Hella 12V socket that you can plug your 12v appliances into. Similar to a ciggy lighter socket in your car but smaller diameter

Thanks Peter,
Yes, I know the 4 knobs should be in the up down position and have turned the bottle on and also pressed the green regulator button for what seemed to be a longish time. But, I will try holding it for longer.
We also know there is gas in the second cylinder because of a little metre on the valve which shows 3/4 full.
Thanks for the heads up about the 12v switch.
We are on holiday in Spain for a few weeks, not motorhoming, this week so it will have to wait til we return.

I've been reading up on the Truma regulators and they dont seem have a good reliability record but still think it's our finger trouble.
Just one question before we leave the problem until our return from holiday. On picture one what is the hex knob below the green reset button? It looks like an isolator control valve but dont want to turn it without knowing what it is.
When I get to the MoHo again I will try pressing the green button for longer and hold the hob on-off knob longer just in case it's an air lock. Next step is to disconnect the reg. output and see if any gas is getting past the regulator.

Thanks Tony.
