Here's a CS site for chilling out, that we've just been to. It's more like a small campsite than a CS. Tidy, clean facilities, including a motorhome service point, a tourist information room, and a drying room. Two large, level circular gravelled areas surrounded by well-kept grass, with power points for all 5 pitches. The site is 18 acres, much of it woodland, with footpaths and seats. Interesting history. Very quiet, all you can hear is birdsong - until the peacocks start talking. Good base for exploring the Angus Glens. Google Maps doesn't do it justice.

£15 per night, or £18 including EHU with 10 kwh included.

The owners suffered the loss of 400 trees in the woodland during the February storms, but they are doing an excellent clean-up job and, no doubt, nature will take over again soon. Spot the huge swing somewhere in the woods (not on these pics) :)

Almost on our doorstep. Lovely part of Scotland. Glad they’re managing the clean up from the storms. Such devastation here too. Planting well under way too.

Also non search for site looks good 👍

Beware, there’s also a Gardeners Cottage in Forfar that definitely isn’t a campsite.

Note the Search for Sites postcode above DD8 £FF. The £ should be a 3. However it’s a relatively new postcode so unless your satnav is new it won’t find it. Co-ordinates work.

Have a peahen visit every day for feeding escaped about 6 weeks ago along with its mate but haven’t see it
