On my new carthago I noticed the gas struts that hold the garage doors open were absolutely useless they didn't hold the doors either open or closed. The wind would always whip the door open or shut always having to hold the door just in case.
Well I have just fitted 2 new gas struts from a company and problem solved these struts are adjustable they come pre-loaded at 700nm and you cannot shut the door when fitted at this pressure but these have a small allen key at the end which you undo to release what ever pressure you wish I have now set them so they gently push the door open but more importantly they hold it open and you have to physically pull the door to get it moving so the wind will new blow it closed again.
Cost was about £50 delivered for 2 struts
