I'm a newbie
Hi all, I have a 2009 Fiat Ducato Mooveo C6 and am wondering if there is a better way to drain the fresh tank other than running the taps dry?
All I can see underneath the van is the big grey water tap lever.

If anybody can help me I'd be super grateful.

Most tanks will have a drain plug which is accessible from inside the vehicle. The tank will usually have a 6" lid on top.

Thanks Steve, Yep, I have located the 6" red screw lid on the top, but the tank seems to take up the entire space under the bench seat. I was looking for a hose coming off it with a tap.....

Will the drain plug be inside the tank? Do I need to put my hand in and fish around for it?

Yes mate exactly that. Mine is directly below the lid, it's basically a bung on a chain.

Under the front facing seat there is access to the tank. Reach inside for the drain plug

Mine has a cap underneath the van like in this video......

Ignore all the bits about fitting the valve and look at 4:26 Into the video for the fitting under the van.

Not your vehicle but my fresh water drain plug is conveniently hidden inside the tank.

So as mentioned remove the 6" cap, feel around inside the tank at the bottom and you may well find a plug handle. Remove that and the water should drain.

What you do next?

Once drained I replace the plug.
Leave the top lid off to allow air to circulate.

I put the plug back in;

So as not to lose it.
Stop any unwanted creatures entering the tank from below.

Also I bought a spare plug as I broke one. O managed to bodge a repair but would have been stuffed without it.

Probably the same way as suggested in the above replies. Most tanks are under a bench seat, remove the screw cap and put your hand in and pull plug out at the bottom. Water should then drain out.

Mine has a screw in tube that is also the overflow outlet, you unscrew it and tank drains without you getting wet hand.
