I recently started a thread 'mum gets better and better' in which I told of the things she gives to me. Yesterday my prospects improved and I got the following

The usual block of cheddar (mum)

Loaf of Sour dough bread
Block of smoked cheshire cheese
A stuffed breast of lamb
last three bought from the cheshire smoke house and given by my son
I must look hungry or something!!

We all love a gift/freebie so go on tell us what you have received as a freebie, my best yet was an old Ford escort (very well looked after and highly polished) from my brother..that was years ago

Had a trying day yesterday and got home to find a friend had left a big jar of her homemade chutney on my doorstep.

Too much to mention but I'm not complaining. Apart from the van I would have to say my next best freebies from mum were several caribbean cruises.

In a sad way its one of the benefits for me that she's on her own now.
