Fort William parking

Has anyone parked in Fort William for the steam train trip? Can anyone recommend somewhere near to stay the night after as we don't get back till 7 in the evening.

Lidl carpark. Tell the staff inside and be gone by 9am

We looked at Lidl last September, signs up warning of fines for overnighting, we didn't risk it.

There's a new aire at Roybridge PH31 4AR, £10 overnight, c20 miles from Fort William.

There is a big car park for Motorhomes behind Morrisons and next to the train station, quite reasonable prices.

Can’t help with an overnight stay though, sorry.

Glen Nevis campsite is very good ,

its about a 45min walk from the town.. but there is a bus service to and from the site , but you would need to check what times it runs

Yes if it's the one the buses use that one doesn't allow overnight stops. I think the one across the road from Lidl does at a cost.

There's also Ben Nevis site which is a bit closer to the Train Station. Very nice site and close to Neptune's Staircase
