For those members with canal boat experience.

This is not MH specific, but I know there are several on here who have or had canal cruising experience.

I am only looking for advice on good forums which cover French canal cruising, where I can ask for advice there.

I took my own sailing boat from Le Havre to Med but that is 35 years ago so need to update for possible rental and parking MH.

Very useful and knowlegeable. I am a lapsed member now but when we did the Dutch and French waterways a few years back membership was extremely useful and it mattered not our boat was GRP and nothing like a Barge.

We stopped off for a coffee yesterday at Guipry-Messac - although we had coffee by the canal in a parking area (nothing to indicate you couldn't stay overnight, but very sloping and adjacent to a busy main road) - there is an Aire adjacent to the Canal de Bretagne, where lots of hire canal boats (Le Boat) were moored and there was a place to hire them from. Might be worth looking at?
