Food pass

Can anyone tell me if it’s worth paying extra for the food pass on Brittany ferrys, is it worth it!.
We are travelling from Portsmouth to Santander on 5th may and it’s 2 nights onboard.
Or what do you take with you for food.

Only if it is "all you can eat" & you are semi professional eaters, I'd have thought?

I looked at that pass and thought it was ok for families but, as an ageing coup[le, we never plan what we are eating that far ahead. You have already spent a king's ransom on the ticket what's a few more quid off BFs debt mountain?

I wouldn't buy it.

Though I understand the changes I'm already just a bit grumpy about the changes they previously made (even though I haven't used the ferry in about a year). Initially a meal ticket was included in the ticket price.

Then they stopped this, giving some PR spin about not pleasing all the people all the time and it being better if you spend you own money on the things you want.

Then they presumably realised that they weren't getting enough people into their restaurants.

So now they're offering "deals". 5%, 10% and 15% uplift on their three ticket price tiers isn't that generous - it's obviously all priced with this in mind.

So it's only if you were going to do it anyway that you would consider it. I would assume I'm not going to do it. Then, if I have a moment of madness once on board it only costs me a few quid extra.

We’ve not bothered last year or on our tickets to France and back this June/July. I can’t anticipate that far in advance how hungry I might feel. Wasn’t worth the hassle.

You cannot get a refund for the credit not spent nor treat yourself to a drink in the bar to use it up.
