I have a large Kampa Air Awning, It is a 4metre version and is therefore , I believe too heavy for the Fiamma already fitted. The new MH is slightly taller than the last and the Air Awning sits too high. The Kampa Video shows it being fitted with the roll out awning half out. They then wind it in but it is a very short model. Now looking to possibly fit an extra Awning rail to the side of the MH below the Fiamma. I would like a whit anodised one but can only find Aliminium rails in sections . Not wishing to use screws, do we think that Using Sikalex to secure the rail would suffice ? It would of course needs a set of steps to slide the awning into the rail. Any thoughts?

I mounted c rail underneath to the fiamma mounting bracket, avoiding the need for kado strip and figure of 8. Mounting to the bracket also negates any more screwing or sticking to the van
ps the only weight being held up should be that of the tunnel (and any water / snow) the bracketry should be man enough)

3m lengths of P rail are available i bought one to add to the Fiamma F35 on my Bongo (the F35 doesnt have ability to add a driveaway unlike the F45 et al)
the postage was an arm and a leg, but if you need one piece.

I have too watched the Kampa vid where they put it on the Fiamma, our is only a 260 and what a strain it puts in it when winding in!!
We was supporting it and it still wouldn’t go back fully, also if using the Fiamma you have a gap between the awning and the van side, only an hour ago I’ve put a p rail on the side using sikaflex 292i (I believe it’s their strongest) some people put self tappers in also. I’ll let you know how good it is next time I use it. Thanks to Kev and Carolyn for their advice on doing this? Stay well you guys?

As pointed out it puts too much strain on the wind out mechanism for my liking . So looks like stick it on with 292. Mine needs to be about 2inches below the existing Awning . As pointed out it does no fit snug to the Motorhome side on the Fiamma,
When inflated fully they are of course self supporting .
Thanks for your thoughts

Glad your sorted,
Had no problem winding my Outdoor revolution but obviously a lot smaller. Still prefer the separate rail, good choice.
