Fiat servicing costs

Hi everyone

Can I please ask what you’d expect pay for a 2 year service (4 years old) at a Fiat approved dealer, consisting of

7litre oil

Oil Filter

Washer

Fuel Filter

Air Filter

Pollen filter

Brake Fluid Change (tag axel)

And if I went to an independent vat registered garage would my Fiat 5yr extended warranty be affected does anyone know

You are less likely to get any arguments about a future warranty claim if the full service has been carried out and logged by a Fiat Professional. One of the many tasks listed for the 4 year service is “use the diagnosis socket to check fuel/engine management system operation” which they might argue only they have the software to do properly. The ECU will probably log it as a Fiat update which an independent would not be able to do.

Yes they are, I had an aircon clean (£160) and a new airbag unit on as well £420ish

I paid around the £500 for my full service from Logan services ( fiat master tech)
And I was happy with that so I don't think that price is not far of the mark.


As it's the last year of the warranty best make sure you comply , as they say sods law.sh-t might go wrong and best to make sure your covered .

I think I might have to bite the bullet, it’s going to Brownhills for the damp check so I may as well just let them do the service as well or it’s more time and fuel money going anywhere else.

It’s Brownhills Lenny where I bought it from who are Fiat Pro approved.

It also keeps all the work done on it by the same dealer so stamps in the book all the same. Not sure if that makes any difference tbh.

The first service at 2yrs was included in the purchase price hence me not having a clue about costs.

I got 4 quotes for the service, all from Fiat Professional dealers. They were all in the £600-£700 region.

My advice would be regardless of the difference if you have a currect and continueing waranty its a no brainer go to fiat proffessinal

Try Stoneacre in Cleckheaton (junction 26 m62). They are fiat pro, and service/ mot ducato fleets and they serviced our a class.
As I mentioned to someone else on here, ring the branch directly, rather than their central call centre and they’ll do a cheaper price.

My local and very good garage, who also happen to have a Fiat pro trained technician working for them would carry out this service, using all genuine Fiat parts that would be documented on the invoice.

They would do the brake fluid change also and grease both rear axels as well as adjust the middle axel hand brake as it was very slightly down on the MOT.

For all this the cost inc parts and labour is £257.

I’ve rang Fiat Assist customer services and they confirm that if all genuine parts are used and documented on the invoice……

“I shouldn’t have a problem”

So what would you all do???

I'd ask them to put that in writing and see what kind of response you get....that might give you your answer

My thoughts too. Personally I would stick with Fiat, its not just about parts its software updates etc which may be as vital as an oil filter.

So what would you all do???

I would first check that the local garage have the facility to do all the Fiat specified items including “use the diagnosis socket to check fuel/engine management system operation”. There might well be software updates that Fiat will expect to be carried out at the same time. I would also bear in mind that if I did need to make a claim on the guarantee it would have to go to a Fiat Professional who might not be impressed with having a cheap service done at a local garage.

When I paid for the extended guarantee I was aware that it would likely cost me more in servicing costs, as well as the upfront cost of the guarantee. In effect I made the decision to use a Fiat Professional at that time and I haven’t changed my mind since.

Well you’ve all answered my dilemma/question.

I’ll not risk losing my last year of Fiat Assist warranty for the sake of 300quid so it’s the dealer who’ll end up doing it and my local guys once out of warranty.

Full service at fiat professional garage last year cost me over £800 on a 3 litre based Ducato motorhome. So not cheap
