Just wondering if anyone has come across the problem I have.
We are sitting on an aire in Tours France atm just before arriving here we heard a weird , definite clicking noise whenever the system changed gear , something that wasn’t there before .
When parked up and operating the comfortmatic gears either in auto or manual I can hear a definite click when changing gear up and into reverse again something I’ve never heard before . Apart from the clicking everything works as it should and no transmission alarms showing on the dash.
It’s so strange that I’m not sure if it’s a problem or not and I’ve no idea what to do about it …would a ECU reset work and if so how do I go about it?grateful for any ideas on this

Just in case you dont get a reply soon dont get impatient and do something . You will get good advice soon i am sure

Good advice cheers … it’s a weird problem hence post. It’s a case of do I carry on and hope it sorts itself out or go to a Fiat garage for advice but I hear some Fiat garages are not that great with good comfortmatic advice .

Odd that you haven’t heard it before but there’s definitely noises from the box when selecting gears. There are moving parts. Probably just the actuators working.

I've never heard a clicking noise just a clunk when it changes gear, I've had Comformatics since 2014.

Is the clicking noise inside the van or from under the bonnet? As above, a quiet clunk is normal when going from Neutral to 1st or vice versa. The engine/road noise drowns out the same clunks between gears when moving but it's still there.
