Fiamma door lock not very strong.

Took apart my corroded Fiamma door lock to tidy it up. Very surprised to find the lock arm is only held on by a single 6mm A3 bolt threaded into a thin alloy casting. Does not look strong to me.

I would bet you could not break it without a pretty serious tool !
 
if you need to remove one without the key, a hammer works very well. they just disintegrate
 
We have bought a few Fiamma bits over the years and I can't say I have been deeply impressed with any of them.

I've never seen the advantage of extra locks on doors, as the windows are plastic with plastic handles. I had a Defender and people put extra locks on them when the door hinges were on the outside so could just be unscrewed from the body.
