I've just been looking at ferry prices for Dover to calais. A high car under 2.20m in height and 6 m in length is half the price of a small van. If my vw camper is within the high car dimensions would I get away with booking it on as a high car??

Probably but be warned, šŸ˜‰ make sure you put the correct size because our last two crossings with P&O we have been put up the top, they are probably saving the lower decks for trucks. šŸ¤” Bob.

I would give it a go, don't think it's a hanging offence

I think I will go for it. I don't see how they can justify charging twice the price based on type of vehicle. Surely it should go on size!!

Van conversion
A while ago we stopped using Stena Line because I was clearly instructed that I had to book as a motorhome and not as any other vehicle, even if my camper was smaller than the other vehicle dimensions. The tunnel is the same, it costs more to take the campervan than it would to take a larger ordinary van. I think Stena may have narrowed the price differential now but am not certain.
