Our small campervan has an underslung LPG tank with an external quick release connector for supplying a BBQ. We're considering adding a small caravan such as a Swift Basecamp to give us more inside space in bad weather.
The Basecamp has a gas locker with space for 2 cylinders, and also an external BBQ gas point. I'd like use a rubber hose to feed the caravan with gas from the campervan's tank when setup on a site. That way I can avoid taking cylinders in the caravan.
I understand that the caravan BBQ point shouldn't be used to reverse feed the caravan, but I'm wondering how much of a bad idea this would be, and what the risks are? Trip hazard on the hose, and risk of it disconnecting or failing. Anything else?
I've seen the approved method on here of using a mid pressure regulator on an external cylinder and feeding via the normal regulator in the caravan. However I only have the low pressure output on the underslung tank to connect to a BBQ.
