FCO advises against all but essential travel to parts of Spain

I wonder if that means travel health insurance companies might try it as a getout if anyone travels there now?

Indeed, I'd expect/hope so.
Why should everyone (those paying their premiums) subsidise someone else's recklessness?

I would think that setting off for a place that travel is not recommended, by the FCO, would invalidate the insurance

The UK it is then, if I were planning a holiday I'd be booking a site very, very early.

I'm also wondering if the value of motorhomes & caravans might go up for a while, who would want to get onto a plane with Covid-19 on the go?

If your gonna catch it, then so be it but, knowing what I know about virus behaviour I'd rather let it settle for a while first.

That's true but how about those who travelled before?

Gets a bit complicated when the ban applies to just certain areas of the country. Does it mean you would have to avoid them as you travel?

I don't think the UK is far behind, does that mean our insurance is invalid if I leave the house?

IMO to avoid sensationalism you should amend the title of this thread to reflect the facts as they currently are.

Early doors yet I feel.
More roll outs yet to come with regard to where its "advisable" to stay away from to reduce risks, and then elevated to a total ban on all travel/flights etc.
Having taken the advice on board.....I just wash my hands of the whole thing!

That’s a bit of a silly accusation we have been here in Spain since Early December there was no sign of it then and do not consider ourselves reckless you need to think before writing your thoughtless comments?

Looking where it has spread to, I think it is now everywhere, nearly as bad in the UK, it just seems we have stopped checking for it, so our numbers are not increasing as rapidly as some more "honest" countries.

I think he was referring to those who now choose to go to places/cities that they have been specifically been warned about.I would imagine their insurance is automatically invalidated.

But if you are already in that place.....say Madrid not just Spain then I think you should still be insured.Unless as sometimes happens UK citizens are actually advised to leave.
