Eurotunnel frequent traveller tickets

Has anybody had any correspondence with ET recently, I have some unused tickets from way back, and because of the Virus, they gave me an extension, until September this year.
As it looks like it will not be possible to use them again this year is it, ongoing or have I lost them? I cannot see it opening up this year. There always seems to be something coming over the horizon as some sort of restriction or other.
They are not the easiest to get hold of as the office number is always busy.
 
I spoke with them last week as we have unused tickets which are due to expire in October. I was told that Eurotunnel are considering extending frequent traveller tickets to the end of December, but no firm decision made as yet. They said frequent travellers will get an email if/when they make the decision.
 
Same here mine expire in May. No chance of going then !

I was under the impression that this decision had already been taken, to extend to Dec 31st

Ours expire mid August. As above we expect that to be extended to end of December. Whether we will be able to use it is a bit debatable at the moment.
 
Mine were due end this May they have extended to end of June 2022

Ours was originally due to expire September 2020, but Eurotunnel kindly added another 12 months to September 2021.

No idea what will happen then if we have still been unable to use the remaining crossings? :unsure:
 
If anyone would like to sell unused FT tickets and can add me to your account, let me know!
 
Don’t think that works, don’t think you can’t add someone to your account after buying the tickets, think you have to do that at very beginning of transaction!

You can share your account with someone else at anytime provided you have not already done so with a different person. You cannot remove a sharer and then add a new one.
 
Ours were due to expire this month but were extended to Julne 2022.

Good Morning i purchased i a frquent traveller wallet in June last year which is due to expire in June 2021, because of the pandemic we have been unable to use any but 2 tickets to travel following UK and European Government advice. With the unlikelyhood of travel before at least May is there any plans to extend the currency of the wallet.
I am a member of several online forums regarding motorhome travel and have been reading of instances where wallets have been extended beyond their expiry date, only yesterday on a facebook forum a member had his wallet extended to January 2022.
I realise that the situation at the moment is fluid regarding travel but realistically travel i dont think will be allowed for some months to come resulting in a large financial hit for myself and my frequent traveller partner who hasnt managed to use any of their tickets yet.

I've booked for the end of August midweek mind don't need to travel at the weekend now, and have changed it previously from a date that didn't suit both within the extension period so hopefully all good. 👍
All these extensions are ok if they make Ft slots available to actually use.

Just heard back from Eurotunnel - no extension at the moment, they have said to contact them on the expiry date in October if we have any unused tickets & they'll review it then
 
Hi, i have family in EU and do travel regularly so if anyone wants to work out an agreement for me to use their unused tickets please let me know.

Et have just given us a refund for a FT crossing that we weren't going to be able to use. They really have exceeded my expectations.

That's interesting. I did not think it possible. Are they still not selling FT tickets? This decision could make buying an FT viable in covid times

I don't think they are again yet, but I did ask and the customer services chap was suggesting they would be again, but truthfully who knows?

hi and welcome.

unfortunately unless you are a named sharer of a FT wallet on the account you cannot use the tickets. and they are not transferable.

As others have said, unfortunately, you need to be the account holder or designated sharer to use the tickets. And it isn't possible to change the account holder or sharer once purchased.

You can't change a sharer but you can nominate a sharer at any time, not just at the time of purchase.

Ah, OK. I suppose I'd assumed most folk on here would already be sharing a F/T account, but on reflection, I suppose it's feasible that might not be the case. Thanks for highlighting the point.
