Eurotunnel - adding or removing passengers

Website seems to suggest this is ok as booking is per vehicle - has anyone actually done it? Is it straightforward?

If travel corridor goes ahead I’m going to try to make a booking but won’t know till just before we travel whether son will be with us ... all depends on RYA advice to sailing centres .

You will need to update your API which is information for border control. I'm not sure if it's absolutely necessary to do it in advance ot whether you can just turn up.

It always seemed very loose to me. We have had bookings with two of us on it and my wife has flown home separately, while I drove home, through the tunnel alone. No one ever questioned me as to where my wife was

Two years ago my wife and I travelled to our place in France via the Tunnel.

Our grandson came over to stay with us and we added him to our booking for the return journey. We experienced no problems, a simple phone call with his passport details had him added.

It is very straightforward to adjust an online booking and add or remove a passenger. You need to go through the whole process of changing the booking and the number of travellers is right at the end.

I know, because I was just looking at a booking I had for September and noticed it said only one traveller, when it should have been the two of us. So went through the process to add another traveller - all very easy.

Would think it would be easier to book him on anyway, won't cost anymore, then if he doesn't go it won't want changing.
