Epever duoracer

I’ve just ordered a Epever duoracer mppt solar controller. I’ve just ordered the standalone unit as I don’t need the remote screen but realised I may need to order the temperature sensor as well. Can anyone tell me if the unit will work without a sensor connected or do I need to order one? Thanks

It might depend on what batteries you have, my guess would be that it would work OK on lead acid but may not work on LiFePO4 without the temperature sensing.

Just had a read at the instructions online. Seems it will work fine without the sensor and will assume a default setting of 25 degrees. It can be changed in the settings menu.
