Eight Years and 28,000 Miles.
Well for me anyway, after 24 glorious years (and 70,000 miles) of ownership, it's time to move on from my R1150GS to something a bit more managable, I won't be touring Europe loaded with camping gear anymore, so a smaller bike just for fun was what I was after.

The Royal Enfield 650 Interceptor fits the bill perfectly, light (er) and surprising quick... broke my heart to leave my GS behind, but the Interceptor is a worthy replacement.

I'd find it very hard to part with my 1150 too. I don't plan to, but I guess one day the choice might be made for me.

Have to say the Enfield is one of the few modern bikes I'd consider, although I also really really like the Honda CT125.

If I had the space, I'd have kept the GS, but such is life..

They'll have to prise my machine out of my rigour mortified hands as they stick me in the ground before I part with it!:swear2::swear2:

Might not take much effort to prise your hands off that. 😂😂😂😂
