My Granddaughter has been invited to perform at the Fringe next year.
I looked at the C&MC site, and as you would expect it shows all booked out.
So, I'm looking for suggestions for a place mid Aug with access by bus/train into Edinburgh. Any suggestions?

Anywhere along the Glasgow to Edinburgh train line would be ok.
The further out you camp, the more likely you'll be able to get a booking.
This'll take you right into Edinburgh Waverley or Haymarket stations, whatever you do, do not try driving in Edinburgh, the local authority makes Westminster parking look like countryside picnic parking.

We attend The Fringe for a few days each year.

Always stay on the Camping & Caravan Club Temporary Holiday Site at Drum Estate, Danderhall, Edinburgh.....

I think it is about £10 per night with water and waste disposal but no ehu. Runs for the whole duration of the Fringe.

There was a Fun Rally on the same site earlier this year...

Bus stops right outside the entrance about 4 buses an hour until late and about 15 min into centre of Edinburgh. £4 day ticket gives unlimited journeys .

Last time we went to Fringe both the big clubs had temporary sites nearby

Mortonhall campsite on the south side of Edinburgh is huge and might be worth trying. There's a bus from the end of the drive right into town.
