Hi Funsters.
All those with Ducato/Boxer/Relay based motorhomes. I have made some deflectors to try and prevent water seeping through the windscreen scuttle wiper spindle holes. Image of instructions below. I am giving away 10 sets including postage to any funsters that are interested. Offer ends on the 1st January. No catch. Its just a thank you to MotorhomeFun and all the members. Just send me a PM and i will pop them in the post on the 2nd January.

Merry Christmas Funsters

5 more freebie’s available. Just PM me your address and I will pop them in the post.

Great idea: (as I am able could make these without any hassle, I'll leave the freebies for folks who can't). But can I ask
how well the Sikaflex lasts against the scuttle plastic? (-I'm not sure what they're made from) .
Had you considered making them as open "horseshoes" so that they don't need the wiper arm to be removed? Would that work?
Also, will the wiper-arm puller still fit after the deflector is fitted?
Thanks, Harry

As long as the surfaces are well cleaned and roughed up a little the Sikaflex seems to hold nicely. I did think about making horseshoe shaped but firstly you can’t clean the area effectively, secondly you end up with an open area at the bottom, and thirdly, as you slide the horseshoe in, you smear all the Sikaflex off the essential areas.
With removing the wipers, I’ve hardly ever used a puller in 45years off repairing cars. I normally soak the area in releasing fluid. Then remove the nut. Then lift the arm up fully and push the arm from side to side fairly firmly. Not too hard to snap the spindle. After a while the wiper arm just releases. The puller can however still be used if preferred. The scuttle panel is not solid. It can be pushed down to make room for the puller. 👍😊👍

That’s 10 claimed. Some are in the post already, the last 3 posting in the morning.
Please let me know how they work for you all. Feedback is welcomed.

Happy New Year. PaulandChrissy
