Can anyone tell me the increments that the Adblue gauge works in? Is it to the nearest % or in 25% increments. Would I have to use a quarter tank before the gauge moved? I have the small 3.5 inch digital display with the Adblue gauge hidden in a menu!

I have a Seriese 8 160hp and when the light comes on it takes 10l and shows full again. Doesn"t specifically answer your question I know but it as it has a 19l tank it shows there should be 9l left when the light comes on.

Thanks for that. I’m suspecting a level sensor fault as my gauge always shows full. Not had the light come on yet.

I have a Mk8 140. I filled it up in Spain and it was still showing full when I get home to the North of England. After another 150 miles it suddenly dropped to 75% My guess is it jumps by the quarter rather that keeps moving between the quarters. If that makes sense.

Thanks that’s exactly what I wanted to know. We have done 3200 miles and put 5 litres in at 1300 and also 2600 miles (to the brim). Dealer is saying that I didn’t leave it long enough before filling so didn’t register on gauge. Sounds like he is right.

Don't ask me why but the recommendations are not to top it up until the warning light shows. I think it's because adblue can deteriorate over time. Mine takes about 10 litres every 2300 to 2500 miles when the light comes on and the gauge shows 2 bars or 50%. I always fill up from the pump rather than containers as it's cheaper and not been sitting around for a while.
