Hi has anyone else had this problem please ?
Our DT 220 turns itself on and off, accompanied by clicking/switching noises from the Electroblock, randomly, but mainly when it's raining.
We have also had spells when the 12v lighting and USB's work intermittently, ie does or doesn't, or the 12v won't turn on or off, on the DT 220, again when raining.
I understand that really this points to a leak in the structure somehow getting in to the wiring, or so I seem to think, but I have been on the roof and resealed all the structure joints with CT1, and have removed the DT 220 to see behind it, and looked at the electroblock, when its raining only to find both areas dry ??
This turning on and off during the night is quite annoying as the light from it wakes us up, and although I could hide the panel overnight with a towel
or similar, it's the not knowing if things will work or not that is the real problem.
Hopefully someone can offer some help or advice.
Thanks very much for looking,
Duncan and Chris.

Bad connection? being affected by damp conditions?, or a failing component?. Beyond that I dont actually know what a D220 is or does.

Intermittent faults are the most difficult to diagnose but you do offer a clue regarding damp or cold (night), hopefully someone familiar with the Electrobloc or wiring diagram should be able to find a common denominator connecting your faults to its origin. Good luck.

Duncan,

Read a few posts down this link and it'll give you the instructions of how to reset the D220.

Hope it works foe you.

Andrew

Earlier models would turn off some of the 12v circuits if the control panel detected low leisure battery voltage.
It does this by operating a relay in the ebl box. The clicking noise?
Even if battery is ok a loose or corroded terminal could make control panel think there is low voltage. On the dt201 system the sense voltage is via a 2amp? fuse directly from leisure battery.

Wiring diagrams are available from schaudt website.

Switch the battery selector switch back and forth. It's common for the switch to get dirty.

parrotsol, thanks but I don't know where this is ?
Sorry for my ignorance.
We have a 2007 Burstner Argos, hope this helps.

Duncan, we suffered this problem on and off (sorry!) for about two and a half years. I’m afraid I haven’t read the full thread but your opening post sounded so familiar to our problem with random on/off and unresponsive 12V button. However if I bypassed the panel using the emergency link it all worked fine (except the water pump). The electrobloc and the panel were sent to Schaudt following some advice on here but they found no problem. I made a set of interconnecting wires thinking mice’s may have had a nibble but no change. I eventually sent the DT220 to Apuljack Engineering who also found no fault but miraculously it has worked fine ever since.

Thank you one and all for your help. As I inch closer to a solution I will post any progress in a bid to help other sufferers of a similar problem.

So can anyone advise the cause who has solved the clicking EBL ?

Hi Duncan, I’ve had exactly the same issues as described in your initial feed!
I had 220 Elektroblock checked and DT220 control panel checked. No faults found.
Miraculously it all worked after refitting.
However I know three yrs later find I cannot switch the control panel OFF and cannot access the tap symbol to switch the water pump on.
All other systems work fine and batteries in good condition.
Any ideas?
Simon.

Hi Duncan. Did you ever resolve this issue? I have exactly the same problem now. Very frustrating and £800 for a new DT220. Did anything fix yours?
