We have the common cat tails on our hab door to deter flies, and there seem to be a lot here in southern spain atm. Its also windy which blows them around and renders them ineffective. We have a sliding flyscreen but thats pretty inconvenient when constantly in and out.
Swmbo has suggested chains, as being heavier they might be more wind resistant. All the ones I have found are for domestic doors so would need substantial modification to fit a hab doorway.
Has anyone found a solution?

We bought a couple of string curtains from the local Chinese shop and put them on a rail.

For the flies that get through the cat tails on your hab door maybe something like this in the link below will sort out the rest. The link is not a recommendation and maybe better products at a cheaper price just the first one I came across.

Amazon product ASIN B017TDXN54

We have a usb zapper that doesn't seem to do much. A mains one would be better but impracticable when off grid.

We use a Portugese made candy twist fly screen. It's made of twisted plastic strips and is a lot heavier than the cat tail ones which weve never bothered with because they looked a bit useless. Ours only really flaps about in quite strong winds. Even then, its still pretty good at keeping out uninvited guests.

Any link to seller or photos please?

Sorry, I have tried but can't do a link to a seller. We've only ever seen them for sale in Portugese homeware shops which is where we bought ours. An online search would need to be done in good Portugese to find the specific item and unfortunately my Portugese is nowhere near good enough.
I will post a picture of ours when it stops raining here. ?

Here's a couple of pics to give you an idea of what to look for:

Quite windy here today and not much movement.

Glad you found one. I forgot they sell them in the Chinese shops....You'll notice the difference straight away once you get it hung. ?
