I turned fridge on today on 240v and it tripped out the electrics.I tripped the switch for fridge and the rest of electrics working OK.So I am assuming I have a problem with 240v supply. So I am thinking its probably the heating element. I have attached wiring diagram.I will get someone who as knowledge of electrical as I have no idea. Any pointers would be appreciated.

Sorry Dave, I can't help with the remedy in any qualified way, but I too would be suspecting a breakdown with the 240v heater element.

We too have the Dometic 7501, and I do believe that the heater element is replaceable. Once removed, you could check it out with a meter for continuity................if it's not easily accessible to do that in situ. Access to certain components is available once the bottom vent has been removed. Whether this provides access to the element, I don't know, as it's not a job I have had to tackle myself...........yet.

There are some YouTube tutorials on the very subject.

And spares appear to be widely available. (y)

Good luck.

Jock. :)
