DOMETIC FRIDGE

Hi Anyone
We need help with our Dometic fridge,
Model no RMS 8400....TYPE C40/110...We bought an Elddis Chapsworth 194....and fridge not working on Gas...works for a while but keeps cutting out...has anyone got any ideas or solutions....Thanks Janet

How long is "a while" ?
Can you hear it trying to reignite at any time ?

It's various times...in the beginning 5/6 hours..now only 2...you cannot hear it trying to reignite...

Hi Did you get this problem sorted ,
This may or may not help.
I was having troubles with my fridge NOT working on gas. Worked fine ehu and battery , but not gas the pilot light was alight but DIDNT roar,
I sorted mine by turning my appliances on at same time then turned on fridge but still didn’t roar like it should , then I turned all appliances off and then turned the actual gas off at gas terminal , but left only fridge terminal on them turn fridge on then it roar way as normal,
So I’m guessing trouble was air in pipes or gas pressures difference.
But works great again ,
Sorry bit long winded but hope you get it sorted if not already sorted.

I am having the same problem as you . I bought my motorhome on May 2023 new and the first time I tried to run the fridge on gas it cut out. I have been waiting since then for a new burner which was fitted yesterday. It worked upto 5pm and I left the fridge on all night on gas but sometime during the night it went off again. I have put it back on at 7am and touch wood at1pm it is still working.Prior to the new burner been fitted everything else had been changed and Dometic said the problem was the Burner and they had problems with a faulty batch. I think there must be more than you and I having the same problem. The other thing is you cannot get a new fridge donot make this model now
