Just spent hr looking for the dog went to all the usual walke spots.
Walking back I see him he's siting in the front driver seat of the van.
He's a bit of a hudeni when the wife went out earlier he must have followed her and sneaked in to the van think he likes going away

Last weekend at Lower Drayton motocross there was a Burstner parked opposite us....all of a sudden I spotted a Cocker Spaniel on the roof! Sat watching and it appeared to be trying to get down. Next minute it slid down the wind out awning and got in its bed underneath 🤣
When the owners got back from their race I wandered over and mentioned it...they said that he had escaped before but they had always blamed one of their party leaving the door open. 🤣🤣

Same thing happened to me today Bill. I have put a temporary gate (a clothes dryer) at the bottom of the stairs to stop my new puppy from running up and down the stairs, then I noticed my Jack had disappeared, I was running around the garden and then the field calling his name but no sign of him. I ran upstairs to change into my trainers to go and look for him and there he was spread out on the bed fast asleep, taking a break from the hassle of my new puppy I think !!!

Yogi did a runner when we were at our house up north in Torridon. He’d been scared by a door that slammed shut in the wind. Knew he’d be close but couldn’t find him anywhere. Walked up down Loch both ways and down to the sheep. Friend searched shoreline on paddle board. Put email out on local network. Was found about an hour later sitting on neighbours doorstoop. They do worry us!

Our springer, 40 years ago now, was the nicest dog you could meet, put your hand in the letter box and she’d attempt to remove from said arm😵
