Can anyone help with this one ? We are taking our daughters dog with us for 12 weeks .
Message from daughter.

When you are at the motorhome show, can you keep an eye out for pet insurance specialists, as when we have looked online the ones we have seen so far only insure dogs for 30 days at a time. Probably need to speak to someone direct. Thanks

Can’t say I’ve seen pet insurance at the shows. That’s not to say there isn’t though. I’m sure there are plenty of pet owning Funsters who will be able to help.

We used to insure our dog with Tesco. Needed 180 days & they said OK but don’t remember it costing any more. We were already with them rather than a new policy so don’t know if that made a difference. Worth a call though.

Another vote for Tesco Pet Insurance. We rescued a Border Collie from Battersea, she was 3 years old and a fit healthy dog. Having had insurance before I thought long and hard about taking out insurance and was swayed in the direction of not bothering. For reasons unknown to me I did take out insurance and a short period of time later the dog was diagnosed with Diabetes. She lived to a grand old age of 14 and provided I kept renewing the premium Tesco kept covering the illness. In the last few years of her life Tesco reduced the cover but the premium never exceeded the cost of the medication. Tesco paid for all her medication, associated equipment and vet charges. In the last year of her life she developed insulin induced cataracts and had a successful cataract procedure carried out on her left eye. Unfortunately, soon after the procedure she suffered retinal detachment and lost sight in that eye which made us make the decision to let her go. All of the costs were met by Tesco who were absolutely brilliant.

Thanks

When we needed pet insurance for Morocco the only one we could find was Asda, their premium policy. No limitations.
