I'm looking for off road, canal or disused railway cycling suggestions in Cheshire please. We're on grandson duties for some of the holidays and cycling is a good day out.
As an aside anyone in the south doing similar I can recommend the science center near Winchester, we did it last year and it's a great place to spend the day.
Tia.

Try the Middlewood Way. Starts in Macclesfield and is an old railway line running north. Has been refurbished recently.
see: Middlewood Way
We cycle up the old railway line and back down beside the canal, but not the canal is we have grandkids in tow.

You might fine the map here but its only an experimental link on my part.

or how about a cycle through Tatton Park. Remember that there is food and ice cream at the stables, toilets and a play area. The petting farm may also be open. Parking is about £8 even for NT members.
