Morning coffee in bed but nowhere to put the cup down? No problem, just make a custom cupholder. I modified a hinge so it only opens 90 degrees to create a little fold-down shelf to put the cup on. Welded to a piece of sheet metal and attached using the existing bike rack bolts so no holes drilled in the van. Works well.

That’s brilliant altho I would want it as a ‘cup holder’ so cup couldn’t be knocked off shelf.

Nice idea, it does look like a toilet seat for pixies though (sorry, couldn´t resist 😁).
I know it's not actually a cup holder, I didn't know what else to call it. I did think about making a hole in it but then it would look even more like a toilet seat 😂.
As for the cup getting knocked off, it could happen but it will never be used when the van is in motion so is no more risky than the seat tray on an aeroplane seat really.

Please please please cut the hole in it ............................

Probably just me, but if I get up in the morning to make a Coffee, then I'd much rather sit outside the van and watch/listen to the world waking up.

Never been able to do, Coffee or Breakfast in bed.

Not saying it's wrong, just that anyone that does it must be an Alien 👽 :ROFLMAO:

Cheers

Never done breakfast in bed, far too much messing about. I would rather sit outside too, but not when it's raining.
