Hi guys, is anyone in Cornwall now, is it still mega busy, or has it calmed down a little, we thought we might visit next week if the madness has subsided
OldAl

I was there a couple of weeks ago - didn't seem particularly 'mad' but I have nothing to compare it to as it was my first visit.
If you can find site availability then why not go?

We live there! We had lunch in Newquay on Monday, quite busy but nothing daft/unsafe. Should be getting quieter soon as schools go back.

just spent a week looe and mevagissey campsites.
Looe campsite was full mevagissey site 3/4 full. Villages very busy people seem to have forgotten distancing in both villages.

As above, the schools go back next week so should quieten down, It depends on what you want to do really when you get here, plenty of walking/cycling trails where you get out into the country and away from the main tourist places, plenty of NT places around and because of the booking they aren't rammed.

We are booked for next week 4 nights at sennan cove then 4 nights at Gorran Haven hoping it won’t be too mad.

We live near Penzance. I was on the road to and from Truro today (giving the MH a quick run), and was caught in traffic on the Hayle bypass for 20 minutes going nowhere! I was surprised to see how busy the roads were still, considering the kids are back at school. I cannot comment on how busy the towns or villages are, as I have not visited any since the lockdown started.

We left last week of July as it was getting crazy but if you avoid the honey pots Port Isaac, Tintagel etc you will be OK.

Few visitors gone home but c/sites still quite busy , beware of narrow lanes , try to stick main roads as much as poss , as my satnav (although set for size of motorhome) still say's use the lanes ( they get very narrow in some places even for 2 cars to pass ) No hope if you meet one.

Not all the kids are back to state schools yet! Ours go next week and I imagine private schools will be even later!

Pentewan and mev were busy today difficult to get into bars/restaurants.
Campsite is starting to empty as majority of schools due back this week and next week.
We are still enjoying it though

Mind you after the wave of kids and families comes the old cronies with their oversized underused motorhomes driving round at half the speed limit with all the time in the world on their hands :ROFLMAO:
Yep that will be me in a week's time headin towards Cirencester

Hi next stop , don't be Jellyarse , it's not all it's cracked up to be , we don't get weekends or bank holidays off , no excuse to not do all those jobs that need to be done, stuck with other half 24/7 no fun , just you enjoy your working life , and it's benefits

Went out for a little ride on the north coast yesterday (in Car, not van), bit of a mixture traffic and visitor wise we didn't see much traffic and the places we visited on our drive around and those that we did visit didn't seem as busy as they have been. Stay away from main holiday towns Mevva, Newquay etc, specially on wet days!! and you should be fine. Stay safe.
