Planning a spring trip to include Copenhagen and would appreciate recommendations for nice site/ aires. Thanks in advance.

Last year the city camp was closed ,there is a camp site called Copenhagen camping about a 40 minute bus ride .

Well we splashed out and stayed at charlottenlund fort campsite, it was very stylish and expensive but a lovely spot !
Very wise to stay there. Basically you're paying for security. Machine-gun pillboxes at the entrance over the moat, and large guns trained seawards in case of Viking raids. You can't be too careful in that part of Europe.

Don’t forget that it’s all done so tastefully with such a scandi cool vibe .

Copenhagen camping is excellent as above 40 min bus ride to town 200 mtrs beach and 200 mitts shops and resteaurants cold this time of year but in summer nice all facilities on site swimming pool mini golf bike hire we usually go march/ Sep think we paid about £20 with electric

We stayed over the bridge in Malmö and wild camped, and got the train in, but strangely, on the way back you need your passport (you need to change trains at the airport). When I asked the customs what would we do if we’d forgotten our passports the reply was ‘ get a taxi back over bridge, no passport needed’ . You MUST visit the old ‘meat market area’ of Copenhagen......amazing

My favourite city!

I worked there for 3 years but only took the MoHo once. Stayed in the new camping up by Bisbjerg way which was basically a big field with portaloos and the shower equivalent. Not sure if it’s still there.
If I was going back I’d stay out at Hundige (‘Hoondie’) and use the excellent S train /metro/bus to get around.
Especially if you take a bike- Denmark is very bike friendly. (Though the Metro has restricted times for taking your bike onboard.)
Remember to lock your bike up - the national sport is nicking them...
