Autoquest 196

Having had a motor home for 6 weeks and 3 trips away we have found a problem with condensation on the front windscreen every morning. Our Elddis autoquest 196 takes an age to clear even with doors and windows open, any suggested solutions most welcome.

An external silver screen or something like this (y)

I have a large body work finishing micro cloth that soaks up the water in the morning of a drive day.

:? But then that cloth needs drying later... lol

Our neighbour had internal screens and didn't appear to have condensation :o
So we put ours up, our results with them fitted were not as good. Maybe they were using the campsite's showers, etc. But we've used our internal ones during COVID-19 trips.

External screens 👍 and if for any reason you cannot fit them on,put them on the inside holding in place by sun visors and trap far ends in doors

We have both karcher and silver screen covers. AS up here in Highlands, it's sometime impractical/impossible to fit the silver screen covers due to wind/weather.
I was in Cromarty last Wednesday, lovely wee spot. Loads of rigs in the firth, love the dolphin sculpture at the primary school.

I use one of these Amazon product ASIN B07GFBGF5J
Some prefer an external silver screen for extra insulation and elimination of condensation .
They are good but do not work horizontally so you cannot clear down to the length of the handle. Keeping a skylight open a tad works wonders during the night.

That’s right , I use a thick sock and pull it onto and compressing it on the bottom section of the unit to avoid water flying everywhere when using horizontally.
I also keep roof vent a little open which helps.

Paragon Silverscreens are the solution you then don’t need a Karcher👍😊

Cat litter in a pair of tights or one leg of a pair. Lay it across the bottom of the windscreen. Inside of course.

In the Uk I had vast amounts of condensation on the screen. & we weren't even in it. Every morning .Even if you mopped it all dry & started off the screen would be misting in no time. Only way to stop it was put the air con on windscreen combined with heater & leave on all the time.. When I left to return home I had the problem all the way down to Bordeaux .Once in to the run up to the Pyreenees & onward it was perfectly ok without the air con on & with us in it overnight.
