I am struggling to purchase genuine fuel for my Cobb cooker any one know where I can get any. I’ve tried all the usual suppliers including Cobb direct.

We just use normal BBQ brickettes; much more flexible than the Cobb fuel.

Hello from Devon.
I have 5 cobb bricks for sale.
Give me a call on 01271816117

I hate to say this, but Go Outdoors advertise them. (I don't like to recommend GO after a recent dispute!)

I would say though, don't order them online even if they say they are in stock, you may never get them and spend a long time waiting for your money back!

EllF, Is there a particular reason you won’t those over normal charcoal?

Ian

the ultra quick ones work well enough for most people unless you are trying to roast a chicken, etc

i would say that by now all cobblestone sellers will be sold out, apart from some people selling the 2016 naff ones, because cobb changed the ingredients this year they had to wait for approval before going into full production hence the big delay in supply
cobb nearly always sell out every year anyway so i buy in bulk

I like the cobblestones but as per busbuddy I use ordinary briquettes for anything which needs cooking for more than a couple of hours.

I haven't used mine for a while so I must dig it out for a short trip I have scheduled for next week. Luckily I still have a few Cobblestones left, but I think Lakeland will be restocking from 1st September so I will order a load more then.

We use use the Aussie heat beads With a full fire basket full of 11 beads will burn for over 4 hours plenty of time to roast a beer can chicken

When you have finished cooking just dunk the fire basket into a bucket of water then let the beads dry off and can then be used again for a small short cook

I'd never heard of those but like the sound of them.

I will give them a try thanks.

Another thumbs up for the heat beads The Range stock them as well

Thanks mate .

heats beads all the way with our cobb, constant heat, 6 or 7 fits nicely, can set your watch by the repeatable burn times, you can shop about for a deal for 4 packs on the web also, we just sold our cobb setup and went for a thuros T1

sorry not sure how to edit my previous reply?..also with the heat beads you can re use them just take whats left of the beads off one at a time with tongs and dip in water for a few seconds then place them in a metal bowl or bucket, they will have enogh heat left to dry off ready for use again the next day
