This is my 1st work in progress using hand tools,(yes I know rough) but WIP, does anyone have any experience using CNC, would a small one do this type of work?

Thats pretty impressive for a first attempt, imagine what you could do with your glasses on :giggle: ( couldnt resist )

I once made a poncey loaf of bread that sort of looked a bit like this.
 
Bongo does some interesting work, free hand with a router and a single flute CNC milling cutter (think he might sell them too ?)

That would be more than doable using a cnc just depends what youre pocket can stretch too and what programming method you use.
 
Plenty of vids like this one on yt, I think you can buy a basic one for around a grand.
 
Surely with the high cost of a CNC machine it would only be viable if you were doing large production runs. By the time you've programmed the machine you would have finished the article by hand.

Just an experiment , sort of a celtic knot.

Yep, taken some time, bits of wood from my neighbour, hardwood, should have known better, spent time sorting out some chisles etc.

I enjoy the learning curve.
