Having ordered some site vouchers from CMC nearly 2 weeks ago and not received them I have been trying to contact them, Am currently on hold and have been for 50 mins, I have e.mailed them but not hopeful of getting a reply before Friday, Their live chat cannot help me. Be warned if you have a problem with CMC at the moment you probably will not be able to get an answer. Leaving apart their extortionate prices this year this is 1 member who will not be renewing.

If you think they are bad the Camping and Caravan Club are even worse! Over a month for a reply on insurance.

I had a problem last week as I realised that only one of my numerous site bookings were showing on my membership details, queued for a short while to get a livechat and found them extremely helpful in my dealings with them and my query was resolved really quickly.

Does it not say they can take up to 4 weeks to come.
How can it take 4 weeks to do something when others will do it over the phone next day.

No idea as I don't work there, I was only letting the op know that they might not be due yet.
Sorry wasn't asking you mate just making a statement. :giggle:

On their order acknowledgement they state that the money is not taken until the goods are despatched. They took my money on 17th July

Yes. We are looking for personal travel insurance and have been trying to speak to, or e-mail them, with no response.

On the other hand I rang this morning to try to change a campsite booking and got through after a wait of about 4 minutes. The change was made without any problems but, at the beginning of my call, a recorded message said they were only taking telephone calls for bookings and nothing else.

If their prices are so high why did you buy some vouchers?

My vouchers took several weeks, it did say there would be a delay in posting. The prices do appear expensive this year.

Sadly, this is just another reason why I always try to head across the channel, can't be doing with booking and planning ahead.

It’s a queue dear boy, don’t you understand. Good god, you’re British aren’t you?! Surely you understand that you have to queue in an orderly fashion, wait half a lifetime, and then be told to bugger orf because it’s not for you!
Just do as you’re told and be grateful.!!!!
Maybe they think that if they make it harder, you’ll appreciate it all the more........that works, but only sometimes.;););):rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

I’ve ordered in two batches, once when they first came out, these didn’t have date restrictions on them, took a month to come. I’d phoned and enquired to be told can take up to month. The second lot, that are date restricted, took two weeks.

Vouchers do seem a little old fashioned. Surely there is an electronic way of crediting these to an account linked to your membership? We did get ours eventually within the '4 weeks'.

It seems mad to have paper vouchers when the majority are booking online, the £2.50 postage and packing could have also been saved.

They are probably not in the office and some staff furloughed give them a break! It’s still not easy to get a delivery time from Sainsbury’s and Tesco’s Many campsites are in reduced staffing. I’m not saying it’s right just how it is at the moment.

I would have been surprised if either club had managed the last couple of weeks without some delays. We have to be realistic about there being a very sudden surge in demand.

Ordered ours on 17th June with an understanding they could take up to 4 weeks to arrive but just got an e-mail from the courier advising delivery would be tomorrow. Assuming schedule is met that's 14 days all in.(y)
