Are you on a grass pitch ? they can be troublesome in wet weather, especially if you have to go up an incline to get out.

Thanks, but it’s pretty firm and flat. In fact, I just moved around for a different orientation. Touring the campsite!

Not a CL, but …
There’s me and one tent on this lovely Anglesey campsite. Nipped up the local peak (500ft) for a 3 mile circular walk on arrival. Then 9 miles on the costal path.
Drawbacks: No showers. No black disposal. Narrow through road (tarmac). Otherwise, pretty idyllic. (My first ever MH outing) £19pn.

Sounds about normal price for UK but is annoying when you can get similar in france, Spain, Germany for nothing or a few euros.

Yes. There are a couple of sites that aren't too far from the battlefield. But being a MohoFun inductee I hate the idea of £35 plus for a single night.

We have just booked into a CL near Chesterfield for July, £25.00 per night with all facilities £5.00 up per night from last year but we are happy with that it's a lovely working farm with some good long walks straight off site

In the past two years it has gone up from £18.00 to £25.00 we like because it is near to family and we will probably spend another 100 quid in the pub on the Saturday night

Sorry if you misunderstood my post. I wasn't referring to your choice to pay it, that's nothing to do with me, and I have no right to comment on it.

I was merely referring to the price that CL/CS's are commanding.

Just had a random search thru THS listings, and yes some are still around the £10 mark.....
However there is a large number of them where circa £20 is the norm...
So even THS's are on the increase even for the basic "no facility" ones.

Better not mention that we stayed at a CL that had all the facilities usually associated with campsites, hard standing, and a shop selling their own produce.... and £25........ Wouldn't want to rile the Funsters....

we found one last week that’s only 40 miles away. Fantastic views and all as you say. The electric is metered which we view as s good thing though. £20 plus electric at £0.35 a unit.
Owner farms is one of the loveliest people.
Site has donkeys, sheep and horses also.

We're currently on a ths near Newquay-Porth Beach Holiday site, £20 per night, but across the road from a fantastic beach, and full site facilities, with electric, really can't complain at that price, the standard rate is £52 pn!

Wouldn't stay there again. It was nice. I found it a bit sterile. No personal contact with the owner at all. Everything done by email and a code to open the barrier and access the shower/loo.
