Citroen relay
Hello,
Please can anyone help!
I have removed the standard seats from my van and fitted two captain seats. The airbag light has come on and failed the mot. I'm told it's the seatbelt restraining system fault because the original seats have been unplugged. I have fitted some 3.3ohm resistors to trick the ecu in thinking the seat is reconnected. I have disconnected the battery and reconnected but the airbag light is still on.
How can I turn the light off?
Thanks in advance.

We had the same problem in our Relay. The original seats had been changed for captain's chairs. Upon investigation it turns out fault was recorded in ECU as no connection to middle seat sensor. Sadly not surprised as middle seat removed as part of camper conversion in 2008.

I had put a 3.3 ohm resister into the middle seat socket connector which helped the problem, but the ECU needed to be cleared of the above fault with manufactures own computer software.

Typically this is the only one that will talk to ECU apparently. ONE HOUR LATER £106 lighter MOT passed. Goodluck
