You may be a bit early for some of them , believe it or not we found gravelines market one of the best when we went, easy to get to , aire right on the job, but don't think it starts till about a fortnight before Xmas. Ypers is another easy one to get to.

Thank you chaser , I will check the dates , I may be back with more questions if you don't mind x

I would second Gravelines, we have been two years running and found it to be great, lovely stalls, friendly atmosphere, and a very good champagne bar!

I haven't got a clue where this is is it France of Germany I can't seem to find it on Internet , mind you I'm not a dab hand at technical stuff , I'm just about getting round this site lol

Gravelines is only twenty mins from Dunkirk or Calais.

it would appear gravelines started on the 12 Dec last year can't find this years date

Bruges starts late November so we could do that I suppose , do you know if there is Motorhome site or Aires near please ?

Visited Archen in Germany a few years ago, 4 hour drive from Calais, 20 min walk from town aire to market.

That sounds good , I checked and the market will be on the dates we want to go .. Can you advice a route please ? And name of Aires , I've got a enjoyed aire book somewhere lol

Bruges is lovely - aire about 10mins walk from centre.

Aachen also good. Could do both easily in a week, and probably Gravelines as well - not been there might try it on way out for winter break.

Cologne is the best IMHO, with 6/7 different markets, but go mid-week; at weekends you get all the tour buses and it's manic. There is a stellplatz but if you've got mobility problems you may need to use the U-bahn. It's possible to pre-book the stellplatz.

Aachen with double A
AACHEN
Town Centre N50º 45’42.00 E6º 6’11.00
Outer Town N50º 47’13.524 E6º 7’49.08
We really enjoyed the friendship n hospitality of the Germans. Mid week early evening best time.

Thank you everyone
