Did a last minute booking to get away for the weekend.
No facilities apart from portaloo’s.
Been here 15 minutes and already know this is the best campsite we have stayed at in the UK!
Apparently it’s

Stunning scenery great walks in the area pub in the village. Site is on the banks of a shallow river so great for dogs!
I can’t still can’t believe they’ve got spaces for this weekend!

What’s the access like to this ? Good approach roads ? We have considered this as it’s fairly local .

Well it’s ok if you don’t follow your sat nav! Had an absolute disaster!!
If you don’t follow sat nav narrow in places but plenty of passing points so no problem.

Just re read this I’d only had a couple of beers honest but I was typing on the move!
What I started but didn’t finish was ………
Apparently it’s just won pitchup campsite of the year.
Two days in I can confirm it’s still a great site and John the owner is really enthusiastic about how the camp should look. 5 star customer service!

It’s £22 per night which I know is not the cheapest with zero facilities but to me worth every penny for the location and views.
40 mikes from home we will definitely use again.

One thing to point out it’s very dog friendly and there are no rules to use a tether so you get the odd visitor popping by
