Autotrail Savanna

I’m a newbie
Does anyone know the cost of having new removable carpets made (roughly). The van is an Autotrail savanna.
Did price Turtle Mats up but seems a bit pricey, but if the cost of having new carpets cut and edged is similar I might reconsider.

Hi look in the classified ads, thought I was someone selling carpets! Sorry not sure which MH though
Worth a nose:giggle:

I was over £120 I think to get my apache700 pieces binded and that was me supplying the carpet. It’s a few years ago now so figure might not be correct but was definitely over £100.

Just got a price for ours - £10 per metre using some carpet we have (leftovers from stairs). The £10 per metre is to bind the edges.

I have a pamphlet from a firm in the Northwest who specialise in Motorhome and caravan carpets , who will come to you. I will post details tomorro.

We had a full set from OE manufacturer as we wanted a darker carpet and one that fitted correctly in our Auto sleeper, it was an eye watering £250

There are much cheaper alternatives to Turtle mats so you don't need to pay for the name, have a look in Dunelm, B&Q, Home Bargains etc.

We've used the others for years and they work just as well, just make sure they are the cotton twill ones and not the ones with manmade fibres mixed in.

As above Dunelm is your friend.
They have a large range of plush mats of various sizes, shapes and colours for around a fiver each.
You can afford to throw them away ever year if they get grubby

They are based near Manchester but will travel out of the area and fit on site.
We had a couple of days on a CL in Derbyshire and they came to us. All done in a couple of hours and a very good job they made of it.

That's cheap.
Adria quoted a price of over £800 for the two carpets which fit their PVC Twins.
Unbelievable.
Don't think will sell any at that price.

We used A Cut Above in Lancaster for a complete set of hab carpets for a Rapido 8066df. About £100, including carpet from a roll end.

As promised, note they must be good as they have a waiting list😉

We used Marvel Mats from Dunelm cost about £100.
Need replacing now as they have shrunk a bit and backings starting to break up, been through the washing machine too many times.

£30 for me. Used what was left of a new hall, stairs and landing carpet, cut them to the correct shape by using a paper template and took them to a local carpet place who bound them for £30 within a day.

Have you the studs that keep them in place?

There were no studs for the carpets, but these are easily obtained if needed.
