As per title. which should we go with?
pros and cons of each?
id assume caravan and motorhome club since we have a motorhome?

😄 I tried it when I stayed there some years ago when I was younger, and got lost.

Lovely countryside, shame about the TV & mobile reception IF that hasn't improved? 👍
Got Terestial TV OK , Struggled a bit with WIFI for my Firestick

Both clubs offer various discounts. CAMC get 20% off food and drink at Welcome Break and Roadchef motorway services for example. And you can get 2 or 3% off supermarket shopping which should get you annual subscription back quick enough.
How does that work with the supermarket shopping please?

People have habit of peppering their posts with indecipherable acronyms. That is fine when the thread is on some esoteric minutiae populated only by those that have been on this site for years. But do have a care for newbies. The OP is a newbie asking a newbie question!!

P.S. All well and good joining both CAMC and CCC if you have both the time and the money. I struggle with time. I managed exactly 4 nights at CAMC sites last year and none so far this year. Maybe I will manage a night or two in October fingers crossed. But not much chance before my 2.5 week September EU trip!
What's an OP ?

We use both and to differ from some people on here they are much cheaper than a lot of private sites.
CCC is ! CAMC only seems cheaper than private sites if you choose sites like Thetford without toilet blocks.

Oh is it, we havn't been to CAMC Thetford in a year may be why! It was a (reasonable) £18 a night for 2 people when we went so didn't break the bank.
Last time I was a few years ago, I'm sure the site was still there but not licensed to CAMC. Apparently they had never owned it?

We were in both

After our first year I reviewed where we had stayed

We are now just with CAMC

We use their main sites sometimes, and sometimes their affiliate sites

But
This year we used them for booking ferries etc in europe

What we saved on the ferries was two plus years of membership so…. We will stay with them

I think you may be thinking of Stamford aka Fineshade Woods. That has closed and is now Forestry Commission aire. Thetford is still open but more expensive than it used to be.

Sorry, I'm confused!
First you say that C&CC have not sites abroad but later you say they only do large sites with only a few touring pitches? 🤔
Confused yes so were they when I got in touch with them Alcamps and Eurocamps are not touring camp sites there mainly for static caravans and chalets est who wish to stay for weeks not days. Yes they do have a few pitches and I mean a few. I explained they are not ment for Motorhomes who like to travel around. I presume you wish to travel around and not stay for weeks at a campsite that’s if you wish to travel abroad. There are better options as other members will tell you ;)

Try something different, join the Motor Caravanners Club, they use schools, village halls usually no hookup, but water and waste dump facilities, it's nationwide, you can use different regions, just check if it's what you would do, I belong to the Anglia region, sometimes there is entertainment

We’ve thought about this. We have used one of their CLs and may use another in a couple of weeks. What puts me off is that all the rallies I e seen about have themes with dressing up!! Which is not for us.

They also do a good deal on Haven sites for certain dates throughout the year. We saved more than our membership on just one booking.
